About JLS Alpacas, LLC
Our Story
We encountered our first alpaca on a trip to Chile in 2000. Little did we know that one day we would have a few of our own. Alpacas are amazing animals. Each has his or her own unique personality; all lovable.They are grown for their fleece or fiber which produces luxurious yarn. In addition, if you spend any time with them at all, you soon learn that these gentle creatures have the ability to soothe your soul. We want to share that love with everyone who visits the farm.
Originally from Arizona, we decided after becoming empty nesters, that it was time for a move! We now call Martin County our home and are perfectly situated between Raleigh and the Outer Banks. Our farm was established in 2021 with the purchase of our first two alpacas and incorporated as an LLC in 2023. In that same year our only daughter decided to relocate to North Carolina as well. She soon put her managerial experience to good use and now runs the day to day operations, maintaining our happy, healthy herd. We are just beginning this adventure and can honestly say every day holds something new in store for us. We hope that you will be inspired to join us and learn more about these amazing alpacas.

At JLS Alpacas, we're on a mission to introduce the world of alpacas to Eastern North Carolina. We believe that the calming nature of these animals can be a valuable resource for our community. Our aim is to share the magic of alpacas, allowing everyone in our region and beyond to unwind in their company and learn more about these captivating creatures.
